Rainy Season

The rain chance is real, and full bamboo tips.

How wins work

  • The board has 5 reels × 4 rows and 1024 ways, with no fixed paylines. Matching symbols that appear on 3 or more consecutive reels from the left pay; the rainbow substitutes for regular symbols and appears on reels 2–5 only.
  • At the start of every spin the forecast shows the chance of rain (10%–90%) — that number is the real probability for that spin. When it rains, each reel catches 0–3 drops in its bamboo shishi-odoshi.
  • A shishi-odoshi that fills to 3 drops tips over and its reel becomes one full-reel water curtain (wild) that counts as one way. In the base game every spin starts empty.
  • 3/4/5 tags award 10/12/15 spins of Long Rain, where water in each bamboo stays for the whole round, tipped curtains carry multipliers, and the final spin upgrades the most common hydrangea to the rain chain.

Paytable

Values are total-bet multiples per way: a win = total bet × table value × the product of matching symbols per reel. The rainbow (wild) counts as a matching symbol; a reel filled by the water curtain counts as one and, in the bonus, also multiplies by its multiplier. The paytable is the same source as in-game.

Special symbols

Rainbow

Wild. Reels 2–5 only; substitutes for regular symbols, not for tags. A tipped reel becomes the full-reel version of the same wild — the water curtain.

Rainy-season tag

Scatter. No connection required: 3 or more start Long Rain; 3 or more during the bonus add 3 spins. Tags under a water curtain do not count.

Features

Chance of rain and the bamboo

The forecast means what it says: a 90% spin rains nine times out of ten. Each reel has its own shishi-odoshi; at 3 drops it tips with a clack and the reel turns into a water curtain — several can tip on the same spin.

Long Rain — the water stays

3/4/5 tags award 10/12/15 spins of Long Rain; 3 or more during the bonus add 3 spins. The chance of rain is 60%–90%, and the water in each bamboo stays for the whole round, building up spin by spin.

More tips, bigger multipliers

In Long Rain the first curtain is ×1, the second ×2, and from the third on ×3 (counted from left to right). A way through several multiplied curtains multiplies them together.

Clear skies

The last spin of Long Rain is sunny: no rain, and after the reels stop, the most common hydrangea on the board is upgraded to the rain chain before the ways are paid.

Volatility and positioning

Volatility 5.46. The 33.68% hit rate counts any winning round; 13.26% of all rounds return at least the stake. The base game carries about 60% of the RTP; Long Rain comes about once every 73.28 spins. A single round is capped at 800× the bet and ends when it hits the cap. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee any single session.

Bonus buy

Pay 29.03× the bet to start Long Rain (10 spins, with empty bamboo just like a natural trigger). The price follows the expected value of the purchase route (bonus-buy RTP 96.65%) and is calibrated separately from regular play.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

June in the moss garden, where gentle rain falls day after day.
The bamboo rocker fills to the brim and tips with a hollow clack.

I. Hydrangeas in the June Garden

When the plum rains of June arrive, temple gardens across Japan turn lush, misty, and quiet under the grey sky. Three white teru-teru paper dolls sway beneath the wooden eaves, a small snail climbs the wet granite lantern, and clusters of hydrangeas bloom in soft shades of blue, violet, pink, and snow white.

Before every spin begins, a small weather notice at the top of the screen displays the exact Chance of rain and the bamboo forecast for that turn. That number is no mere decoration — it is the true mathematical probability that raindrops will fall across the reels on that spin.

II. Raindrops Filling the Bamboo Pipe

Mounted above each of the five reels is a pivoted green bamboo tube known as a shishi-odoshi. Whenever the forecast brings rain, clear drops trickle down into each tube; the moment a bamboo pipe fills to the brim, its weight tips it forward, spilling the water and striking the stone rest with a crisp clack.

As the bamboo tips over, a shimmering water curtain pours down to cover that entire reel from top to bottom. Like the Rainbow on the inner reels, the full-reel water curtain acts as a wild symbol, connecting blooming hydrangeas, green tree frogs, and copper rain chains across the board.

III. The Long Rain and Shining Curtains

Landing enough wooden Rainy-season tag scatters anywhere on the screen ushers the garden into Long Rain. Throughout these free spins the chance of rain remains high on every turn, and the water collected inside each bamboo pipe stays from spin to spin instead of emptying between turns, building steadily toward the next tip.

Better still, as one bamboo rocker after another tips over during Long Rain, the resulting water curtains carry escalating multipliers across the board from left to right. Whenever a winning way passes through multiple multiplied curtains on the same spin, their values multiply together in a cascading downpour.

IV. Clear Skies and the Rainbow After Rain

On the final spin of the feature comes Clear skies, marking the long-awaited end of the rainy season. The clouds part, sunlight floods the mossy stones, and whichever colour of hydrangea appears most often on the stopped reels transforms into the top-paying rain chain symbol before the final ways are counted.

A bright seven-coloured Rainbow arches over the freshly washed garden as the round concludes and the paper dolls sway gently in the warm sun. That sunlit finale is the game's seasonal theme, not a promise: every spin's outcome is still decided independently by the RGS random number generator.
