How wins work

  • The grid is 5 reels × 4 rows, giving 1024 ways (4 to the power of 5). There are no paylines.
  • Starting from the leftmost reel, a symbol pays when it appears at least once on each consecutive reel — one gap and the run ends. 3 reels or more pays.
  • Win = (bet ÷ 1000) × the multiplier for that reel count × the product of the counts on each contributing reel. Five reels with one symbol each and five reels with four each differ by a factor of 1024.
  • Several symbols can pay on the same spin; each is calculated separately and added.

Paytable

Values are the multiplier for a single way: win = (bet ÷ 1000) × symbol multiplier × the product of symbol counts on each contributing reel. Four symbols on every reel means all 1024 ways land at once.

Special symbols

Split Peach

Substitutes for every symbol except the oni mask, and appears on reels 2, 3, 4 only. A run made entirely of substituting symbols pays only the highest-paying symbol among them, once.

Oni Mask

Does not take part in ways. It triggers the feature and pays on its own: 3 masks 2×, 4 masks 10×, 5 masks 50× the total bet. It appears on all five reels and only the stopped grid counts.

Features

Companions turn Wild

During Onitaiji the three companions (dog, monkey and pheasant) fill separate meters: each of their symbols landing on the grid adds one point to that companion's meter, whether or not it forms a win. At 8 points that companion joins — its symbol counts as the Split Peach for the rest of the feature and no longer pays on its own. Measured average: 1.702 companions join per feature.

Onigashima

When all three have joined, Onigashima begins: 3 extra spins and, from the next spin on, a ×2 multiplier on ways wins for the remaining spins (the spin that completes the party is not doubled, and oni mask pays are never doubled). From then on four symbols substitute (three companions plus the Split Peach), so the way count grows sharply. Measured at roughly 1 in 18.70 features.

Onitaiji free spins

3 oni masks trigger the feature: 3 masks award 10 spins, 4 masks 15, 5 masks 20. Companion meters start empty and reset when the feature ends — progress never carries across rounds.

Retrigger

3 more masks during the feature award 5 extra spins and the companion meters are kept.

Medium volatility — on purpose

Volatility 4.61. Hit rate 79.79% counts rounds with any win; 22.13% of all rounds return at least the stake. These are different measures: a winning amount may still be below the stake. The medium-volatility configuration adds variety alongside higher-volatility titles and does not guarantee session outcomes.

Bonus buy

Pay 32.785× the bet to go straight into 10 Onitaiji spins — the same award as 3 oni masks, without the mask pay of a triggering spin. The price is derived from the expected value measured along the buy path itself (measured buy RTP 96.85%) and calibrated separately from the base game.

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

Born from a giant peach that split open by itself, the young hero sets forth.
One millet dumpling at a time, he gathers his companions along the road.

I. The Peach Down the River

Long ago, while an old man cut firewood in the hills and an old woman washed clothes by the clear mountain stream, a giant crimson peach came bobbing down the current. Every child knows that opening line, yet the older picture scrolls preserve a quieter marvel: carried home and set upon the wooden table, the peach split open by itself to reveal a healthy child sitting inside.

Across this five-reel, four-row scroll grid, fixed paylines give way to all-ways combinations flowing from the leftmost reel across the board. That miraculous fruit serves as the Split Peach Wild on the middle columns, standing in for every emblem except the oni mask to bridge matching symbols from left to right on any spin of the painted scroll. From riverside village to wave-lashed island fortress, the storybook adventure unfolds with vibrant woodblock charm on every spin.

II. Millet Dumplings for the Road

Grown into a resolute youth, Momotaro announced that he would cross the sea to quell the marauding ogres of the distant island. Before he stepped through the village gate, the old woman steamed and rolled warm millet dumplings for his pouch alongside his painted war fan, armored surcoat, battle baton, and katana for the long march toward the coast. Along the sunlit mountain trail, silk expedition banners ripple in the breeze as the companions march steadfastly toward the sea.

Along the winding mountain path he met the loyal dog, then the clever monkey, and finally the swift pheasant. Each asked what he carried at his waist; each received one of Japan’s best millet dumplings and pledged to follow him as one of his three companions, turning the folktale road into the living heartbeat of the free-spins feature. From riverside village to wave-lashed island fortress, the storybook adventure unfolds with vibrant woodblock charm on every spin.

III. Companions Joining the Ranks

When enough Oni Masks land upon the scroll in a single spin, war drums thunder and the Onitaiji free spins begin. Just as Momotaro did not begin his quest with a full retinue at his side, the three animal companions start the feature with empty meters and gather strength one appearance at a time across the spinning reels. Along the sunlit mountain trail, silk expedition banners ripple in the breeze as the companions march steadfastly toward the sea.

The moment a companion’s meter fills completely, that ally officially joins the party—turning every instance of its symbol into a Split Peach Wild for the remainder of the feature. With each new companion recruited along the way, more symbols on the reels act as wilds and the ways combinations multiply rapidly across the entire scroll. From riverside village to wave-lashed island fortress, the storybook adventure unfolds with vibrant woodblock charm on every spin.

IV. Setting Sail for Onigashima

Only when the dog, monkey, and pheasant have all joined the ranks does the wooden boat push off through the crashing waves for storm-lashed Onigashima. Reaching the island grants extra spins and doubles every ways payout from the very next spin onward, with four distinct symbols now acting as wilds across the grid at the same time. Along the sunlit mountain trail, silk expedition banners ripple in the breeze as the companions march steadfastly toward the sea.

On the rocky shore stand the red oni and blue oni—bracing fiercely when masks land, flinching back a step whenever a companion joins the banner, and roaring together as the island assault begins. Where the folktale reaches its final battle, the full party’s arrival marks the round’s most exhilarating stretch of the voyage. From riverside village to wave-lashed island fortress, the storybook adventure unfolds with vibrant woodblock charm on every spin.
