How wins work

  • The board has 6 reels × 5 rows and 15625 ways, with no fixed paylines.
  • Matching symbols that appear on 3 or more consecutive reels from the left pay.
  • The butterfly is wild, appears on reels 2–6 only and substitutes for regular symbols (not for the wind).
  • Migration winds do not pay on ways: 3 or more anywhere start the Migration (free spins).

Paytable

Values are total-bet multiples per way: a win = total bet × table value × the product of each reel's multiplier sum (each reel adds its matching cells: a regular cell counts 1, a tagged butterfly counts the multiplier on its wing; with no tagged butterflies this is simply the product of matching symbols per reel). The butterfly (wild) counts as a matching symbol. The paytable is the same data shown in game.

Special symbols

Chestnut tiger butterfly

Wild. Reels 2–6 only; substitutes for regular symbols but not for the wind. Swarms drop several at once; tagged butterflies in the Migration carry multipliers.

Migration wind

Scatter. No connection required: 3 or more start the Migration; 3 or more during the bonus add 3 spins.

Features

Swarms

Now and then a swarm arrives in the base game: 3–8 butterflies land on separate cells of reels 2–6 and turn them wild. A butterfly landing on a wind is blocked (the wind still counts). Several at once often link up a whole run of reels.

Migration — the route south

3/4/5 winds award 10/12/15 spins of the Migration; 3 or more during the bonus add 3 spins. Every Migration spin brings a swarm, and after 2 spins at each stop the swarm flies further south: Honshu → Kyushu → Amami → Okinawa → Yonaguni → Taiwan. 3 butterflies land per spin at Honshu, rising to 8 at Taiwan.

Tagged butterflies

At every stop some of the butterflies are tagged: a researcher has written a multiplier on the wing (×2, and ×5 in Taiwan). Within a way, the butterflies on the same reel add up and the reels multiply together — two tagged butterflies on two reels make 2 × 2 times for every way through both.

The butterfly band

After reaching Taiwan (from spin 11), a whole band of butterflies occasionally crosses the sea: every one of the 25 cells on reels 2–6 gets a butterfly, tagged as in Taiwan. It is rare, and it is the biggest moment in the game.

Volatility and positioning

Volatility 8.35. The 30.64% hit rate counts any winning round; 6.86% of all rounds return at least the stake. The base game carries about 51% of the RTP, with swarms often linking several reels; the Migration comes about once every 177.32 spins, with more butterflies and bigger tags the further south it flies. A single round is capped at 7,200× the bet and ends when it hits the cap. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee any single session.

Bonus buy

Pay 81.56× the bet to start the Migration (10 spins, departing from Honshu). The price follows the expected value of that purchase route (bonus-buy RTP 96.31%) and is calibrated separately from regular play.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

When autumn cools the hills, the chestnut tigers rise from Honshu,
crossing the dark sea current on a long voyage south.

I. Pale Wings in the Autumn Breeze

As the mountain forests of Japan take on the first chill of autumn, clusters of pale purple thoroughwort bloom across the highlands and fill the valleys with a faint sweet scent. Among them wakes the chestnut tiger butterfly, its wings framed in deep umber with a ring of white dots and translucent cells of pale robin's-egg blue that glow like thin porcelain in the morning sun.

It is hard to imagine that wings so delicate hold the ancient instinct to cross more than a thousand kilometres of open water without losing their way across the sea. The moment the northern migration wind stirs through the mountain passes, butterflies lift from the blossoms by the hundreds and glide down the autumn air currents toward the distant southern coast.

II. Island by Island Across the Sea

Their journey is a patient island-hopping voyage down the entire length of the southern archipelago as the season turns cold. Leaving the highlands of Honshu and the sunlit capes of Kyushu behind, the butterflies rest among coastal flowers to gather strength before riding the sea thermals out across the dark Kuroshio current to Amami, Okinawa, and the far Ryukyu islands.

On the reels, a sudden swarm may drift in during any base spin, settling onto separate cells of the middle reels as wilds that link the ways from left to right across the board. Once the Migration feature begins, a swarm arrives on every single spin, and after each stop along the route the flock moves further south in ever greater numbers.

III. A Researcher's Gentle Mark

To trace where these travellers come from and how far they fly across the sea, naturalists wait quietly beside the autumn flowers with soft nets and fine markers. Steadying a butterfly gently between two fingers without harming its scales, they write a tiny code across the pale translucent cell of its wing before releasing the tagged butterfly back into the breeze.

When that same marked wing is sighted weeks later on a distant southern island across the open water, the invisible highway of the autumn wind is finally revealed to human eyes. In the game, tagged butterflies carry wing multipliers that add together on the same reel and multiply across reels, growing larger the further south the journey reaches.

IV. The Ribbon Over the Waves

Beyond Yonaguni lies the warm green coast of Taiwan, the final destination of the long autumn flight across the sea. On rare mornings when wind and tide align over the strait, thousands of chestnut tigers stream together across the water in a single shimmering butterfly band, filling every eligible cell across the middle reels at once with pale blue wings.

That living ribbon of pale blue and chestnut drifting over the dark sea waves is the rarest and brightest sight of the entire voyage south across the islands. It is the game's theme, not a promise: however the butterflies gather and ride the wind on screen, every spin's outcome is still decided by the RGS random number generator.
