Autumn in the foothills, where golden rice ears bow toward the earth.
A heavy snort sounds from the bamboo grove, and the charge begins.
I. Autumn Rice Fields and the Bamboo Grove
In the quiet satoyama foothills of late autumn, terraced paddies glow gold in the afternoon sun and ripe persimmons hang heavy on bare branches. Suddenly the bamboo thickets rustle at the edge of the field, and a bristling wild Boar steps into the lane, pawing the damp earth twice before locking its eyes straight ahead.
The Japanese proverb chototsu-mōshin describes a wild boar's famous habit of charging in a dead-straight line without swerving an inch from its path. Chestnuts, bamboo shoots, acorns, and persimmons fill the reels, waiting for a boar on the first reel to tear across the board.
II. A Straight-Line Charge Across the Ridge
Whenever a Boar lands on the leftmost reel, it lowers its white tusks and sprints straight across its horizontal row to the right edge of the screen. Clods of earth and dry leaves fly in its wake, turning every square it crosses into a wild symbol for that spin without ever covering a scatter.
With an entire horizontal row paved in wilds, autumn harvest symbols from the left can connect all the way across the grid. And if enough boars burst out on different rows during the same spin, they form a thundering Herd that multiplies the entire spin's payout at once.
III. Tusk Marks on the Ancient Trunk
Standing sentinel across the inner reels are massive old trunks of the Big tree symbol. On its own a tree pays nothing and blocks a charge in its tracks, but the instant a speeding boar slams headfirst into the bark with a deep thud, the impact carves a glowing slash across the wood.
That collision transforms the blocking trunk into a Tusk-marked tree — a multiplier wild whose value adds with other multipliers on the same reel and multiplies across separate reels, turning a sudden stop into the hardest-hitting square on the board.
IV. Four Boars Charging at Once
Follow enough muddy Hoof prints into the woods and the feature opens into Boar Rush. Now the rightmost reel stands as a solid wall of ancient trees, boars charge in on every spin, and every tusk-marked tree stays locked on the board for the whole round, growing stronger each time another boar slams into the same row.
When all four rows charge on the same spin and all four boars crash into the trees together, an All-out rush shakes the mountain forest and permanently multiplies every tusk mark on the screen. That earth-shaking stampede is the game's climax, not a promise: every spin's outcome is still decided by the RGS random number generator.
