How wins work

  • The board is a train window: 5 reels × 3 rows, 243 ways, no fixed paylines.
  • Matching symbols that appear on 3 or more consecutive reels from the left pay.
  • The signal lamp is wild and substitutes for regular symbols (not for the ticket or the tunnel). It never lands on the first reel.
  • Reserved-seat tickets do not pay on ways and only count on the paid spin: 3 or more pay by count and start the night run once the scrolling ends.

Paytable

Values are total-bet multiples per way: a win = total bet × table value × the product of matching symbols on each reel × the spin multiplier. The signal lamp (wild) counts as a matching symbol. The paytable is the same data shown in game.

Special symbols

Signal lamp

Wild. Substitutes for regular symbols, not for the ticket or the tunnel; while one remains on reels 2–5 the window scrolls left. Never on the first reel.

Reserved-seat ticket

Scatter. Counts on the paid spin only: 3 or more pay by count and start the 10-station night run.

Tunnel

Mystery symbol. After each spin lands, every tunnel reveals the same regular symbol; on a tunnels-open station they all become wilds.

Features

Scrolling window

After the paid spin, as long as a signal lamp remains on reels 2–5 the train moves on: the view scrolls left one reel (reel 1 leaves the window and a new reel 5 comes in from the right). Lamps move left with the view and only disappear when they leave the window; every scroll pays again. Up to 20 scrolls in a row, at no extra cost.

Tunnels

Tunnels are mystery symbols: after each spin lands, every tunnel on the board reveals the same regular symbol. A tunnel that scrolls along is revealed again on the next spin.

Ticket puzzle

Each spin shows a ticket with four digits. If the digits, in order, can make 10 using only + and − (e.g. 4 − 2 + 7 + 1), that spin's multiplier gets +1.

Night run and station rules

3 or more tickets on the paid spin (3 pay ×2, 4 pay ×10, 5 pay ×50) start a 10-station night run once the scrolling ends. Each station scrolls one reel and the station sign announces its rule: local, tunnels open (all tunnels become wilds), express ×2, extra car (the middle cell of the new reel becomes a wild) or scenic view (the whole new reel becomes wild). Extra-car and scenic wilds scroll along with the view. Station 10 is the terminus, paying ×3. The ticket's +1 adds to the station multiplier.

Volatility and positioning

Volatility 5.67. The 31.01% hit rate counts any winning round; 13.10% of all rounds return at least the stake. The base game (including the scrolls) carries about 60% of the RTP; the night run comes about once every 69.79 spins. A single round is capped at 2,000× the bet and ends when it hits the cap. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee any single session.

Bonus buy

Pay 27.84× the bet to start the night run (10 stations). The price follows the expected value of that purchase route (bonus-buy RTP 96.62%) and is calibrated separately from regular play.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

Nine at night on the Ueno platform, the blue sleeper sounds its whistle.
Steel wheels click over the rail joints as city lights slide past the window.

I. A Window Seat on the Blue Train

Under the station roof at night, the departure bell rings out and a midnight-blue sleeper express trimmed in cream stripes glides away from the platform into the rain-washed dark. Inside the warm carriage, the passenger across the table unties the string of a station bento box and pours steaming green tea from a small ceramic pot.

The game board is the wide picture window beside your berth: a stiff cardboard ticket rests on the sill, and the five reels frame the nocturnal landscape of rice fields, coastal towns, and iron bridges rolling past outside through the night.

II. Signal Lamps and the Scrolling View

Along the tracks stand glowing trackside signal lamps that serve as wild symbols on the reels. After any paid spin is evaluated, for as long as at least one signal lamp remains anywhere on the second through fifth reels, the locomotive keeps pulling forward through the night at no extra cost.

With each advance, the entire window scrolls left one reel: the leftmost reel slips out of sight, the remaining reels and their signal lamps shift one column left, and a fresh reel enters from the right for a new ways evaluation. Meanwhile, dark tunnel mystery symbols all open together to reveal matching symbols as the train bursts back into the open air.

III. The Ticket Number Puzzle

To pass the hours on a long rail journey, Japanese travellers have long played a parlour game with the four-digit serial number stamped on a stiff paper ticket: keeping the four digits in their exact order from left to right, can you place only plus and minus signs between them to make ten?

Every spin places a fresh four-digit ticket on the windowsill as the uniformed conductor steps down the aisle with his punch. Whenever those four digits can be combined in order using addition and subtraction to equal ten, the conductor clips a neat hole in the ticket and adds a bonus step to that spin's multiplier.

IV. Ten Stations Through the Night to Dawn

Landing enough green reserved-seat tickets on a paid spin books passage on the ten-station night run once the base scrolling concludes. Each station scrolls the window one reel further left while the platform signboard announces that stop's special rule: tunnels open turns every tunnel wild, express boosts the station multiplier, and extra car or scenic view adds fresh wilds to the incoming reel that then scroll leftward across subsequent stops.

As the tenth and final station arrives, dawn breaks pink across the distant hills and the terminus multiplies the final stop's win as the conductor salutes on the platform. It is the game's theme, not a promise: the overnight sleeper express is a nostalgic rail journey, while every spin's outcome is still decided by the RGS random number generator.
