Drift Ice

Dawn on the Sea of Okhotsk: three floes, each drifting its own way.

Drift Ice is a 7×3, 2187-ways slot whose rows drift like ice floes before wins count. Winning rows drift again for bigger multipliers; in free spins, sticky seals ride the ice.

How wins work

  • The board has 7 reels × 3 rows and 2187 ways, with no fixed paylines. Matching symbols that appear on 3 or more consecutive reels from the left pay.
  • Each row is an ice floe: after the reels stop, every row drifts left or right by 0–3 cells on its own (cells leaving one edge come back on the other), and wins are evaluated after the drift.
  • The spotted seal is wild and substitutes for regular symbols (not for the horn or the clione).
  • Icebreaker horns do not pay on ways: 3 or more in one spin start the Ice Field (free spins).

Paytable

Values are total-bet multiples per way: a win = total bet × table value × the product of matching symbols per reel × the spin multiplier (the drift chain's ×2, ×3, or in the Ice Field the seal multiplier used by the win). The seal and the broken channel (wilds) count as matching symbols. The paytable is the same data shown in game.

Special symbols

Spotted seal

Wild. Substitutes for regular symbols but not for the horn or the clione. In the Ice Field it sticks to the ice and drifts with its row; clione raise its multiplier, up to ×5.

Broken-ice channel

Wild. Appears only when the icebreaker cuts a row in the Ice Field: every non-seal cell of that row turns into it.

Clione

Ice Field only; does not pay or substitute. Carries +1 to +3, added to every adjacent seal.

Icebreaker horn

Scatter. No connection required: 3 or more in one spin start the Ice Field; 3 or more during the bonus add 5 spins.

Features

Drifting floes

Every time the reels stop, each of the three rows drifts once: left, right or not at all, up to 3 cells. Cells drifting off the right edge come back on the left (and vice versa), so a row keeps its order and only shifts — a board with nothing connected can line up after one drift.

Drift chains

When a spin wins, the rows used by the win drift again (they always move) while the other rows stay put and the reels do not spin. Wins are evaluated again: the 1st chain pays ×2, ×3, up to 2 chains. Only rows that moved can form a new way, so no way is paid twice.

Ice Field — sticky seals

3/4/5 horns award 8/10/12 spins of the Ice Field; 3 or more during the bonus add 5 spins. Every seal that lands stays on the ice for the whole bonus and drifts with its row, each with its own multiplier (×1 when it lands).

Clione multipliers

Clione landing in the Ice Field carry +1 to +3, added to the multiplier of every seal directly above, below, left or right of them (up to ×5 per seal). When a spin's wins use several seals, the spin pays × the highest of them; a drift chain multiplies the chain multiplier on top.

Icebreaker

Every drift in the Ice Field counts (one per spin, one per chain). Every 8 drifts, the icebreaker cuts through a row on the next spin: every cell in that row that is not a seal becomes a broken-ice channel (wild). That spin pays only its biggest way, without seal multipliers.

Volatility and positioning

Volatility 5.00. The 32.79% hit rate counts any winning round; 15.99% of all rounds return at least the stake. The base game (with drift chains) carries about 62% of the RTP; the Ice Field comes about once every 71.34 spins, with seals growing and an icebreaker turning a whole row wild. A single round is capped at 2,000× the bet and ends when it hits the cap. This describes the product's positioning and does not guarantee any single session.

Bonus buy

Pay 26.34× the bet to start the Ice Field (8 spins). The price follows the expected value of that purchase route (bonus-buy RTP 96.74%) and is calibrated separately from regular play.

Sources & verification scope

This product specification is written and maintained by its developer, Akitsora Gaming (AKI電子 in Taiwan). Measurement methods and sample information for RTP, volatility and hit rate appear in the specification table. Sampled results have uncertainty; RTP describes long-run return, not an individual player or session outcome.

Internal simulations and tests are not independent certification. We do not currently hold GLI or BMM certification reports. Supply to a market requiring third-party certification depends on completing its requirements.

The story

Fiction and adapted settings written by Akitsora Gaming for this title, including invented dialogue and events. This is not a historical or folklore reference. The rules and specification tables define the gameplay and math.

At the tail end of winter, drift ice rides the northern tide into the Sea of Okhotsk,
and the whole horizon glows a quiet rose beneath the breaking dawn.

I. Floes That Walk the Tide

As deep winter loosens its grip on the far north, freezing currents drive thousands of broken ice plates southward into the Sea of Okhotsk. Drift ice is never a single frozen continent, but a living mosaic of drifting floes: nudged by morning wind and undersea swells, neighbouring rows slide in opposite directions, tracing dark lanes of open water across the rose-lit sea.

The three horizontal rows of the board act as three separate floes, carrying Steller's sea eagles overhead, prized hair crabs and scallops beneath the tide, and crystalline ice towers, icicles, and delicate rime along the surface. After every spin stops, each row drifts left or right on its own, allowing scattered symbols to slip into alignment before wins are counted.

II. The Rhythm of Drift Chains

When the shifting floes clink together and complete a winning way from the left edge, the northern tide refuses to rest. Every row that took part in the winning combination catches the current and drifts a second time, while the untouched rows hold their ground, waiting for the moving ice to bring new neighbours to their edge.

Each consecutive drift chain brightens the morning glare across the pack ice and raises the chain multiplier another step upward. Because only the rows that just moved can forge a fresh connection, no combination is ever paid twice, turning every round into a quiet choreography of parting and meeting across the winter sea.

III. Seals and Sea Angels

When the low blast of the icebreaker horn echoes across the water, the voyage enters the deep Ice Field free spins across the frozen horizon. Plump spotted seals bask and doze on the white floes, staying on the ice for the entire bonus and riding whichever way their row drifts to bridge regular symbols across the reels.

Down in the indigo cracks between the floes, translucent sea angels known as clione flutter through the freezing water with tiny wings. Whenever a clione surfaces directly beside a seal, it bestows a gentle boost upon that seal's personal multiplier, steadily nurturing the sleepy companions on the drifting ice from spin to spin.

IV. The Icebreaker's Channel

Every single drift of the floes in the bonus—whether on the initial stop of a spin or during a subsequent drift chain—feeds the momentum of the approaching vessel. Once enough drifts have accumulated, the heavy steel bow of the icebreaker shears straight through a chosen row, turning every cell without a seal into a wild broken-ice channel.

Pale mist rises from the newly opened lane of dark water as the horn sounds across the pink horizon and frost glitters along the hull. The drifting floes, basking seals, and parting ice are the winter poetry of the Sea of Okhotsk rather than a promise: every spin's outcome is decided solely by the server's random number generator.
